Danbury Man Charged In Burglary Of Monroe Business

A 32-year-old man has been arrested by Monroe Police for a business burglary that took place last October.

Jacob Bardin, Danbury, was arrested on Monday, Feb. 4,  for a commercial burglary that took place at TLC Inc. located at 742 Main Street in Monroe on Oct. 1, 2018, said Monroe Police Lt. Stephen Corrone.

The burglary was discovered around 7 a.m. when employees of TLC Inc. arrived at work to discover that the rear office had been entered and ransacked by an unknown party. 

Employee’s later discovered that approximately $250 was missing from the office and a chainsaw valued at $500 was also missing, Corrone said.

Monroe detectives responded to the scene and processed it for evidence.

During the investigation, Detectives developed Bardin as a suspect through the use of surveillance footage, witness statements, and other electronic evidence. 

Bardin was arrested on a warrant and charged with burglary and criminal mischief.

He was released after posting a $15,000 bond. Bardin is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 13.
